But Sailor Moon was one of the few shows that stayed in the back of my mind.
At the age of 15± I became more aware of the awesome TV shows they showed back in 2005.
This is also when I started to Google Sailor Moon again and discovered they had 200 episodes!
The Netherlands only showed 52 episodes.
After browsing for pure nostalgia I discovered the site Deviantart.
At first I stayed there lurking without an account for the site.
But after a while I wanted to learn to draw like the artists on this websites so I signed up.
I learned that digital drawing was a lot harder than it looked like and wasn't very fluent in English.
I also didn't have Photoshop back then so was forced to use Gimp.
It was hard.
I didn't know anything about digital art so I started using effects on existing official art drawing and screenshots.
When it turned out nice I'd upload it to Deviantart.
This was wrong of course, but I didn't know better back then...
A while later I got a message from Deviantart saying all my edits were removed.
I was young and didn't understand why.
But this also forced me to actually try to understand that program named Gimp better.
I started doing linearts from a few scans of mine and was proud when bobbly lines were all over the place of the lines.
Finally I got CS3 and noticed it worked a LOT easier than Gimp.
I finally started to learn by tutorials how proper line-arts, colouring and effects should be done.
I also started to receive comments for the artwork I uploaded and made friends!
I really started to get more and more active on Deviantart and noticed more and more ways to draw.
It always made my day when a friend on Deviantart uploaded another beautiful piece!
This continued for a few years.
Eventually I got a drawing tablet, new computer and went to an art school with a 4 year education for graphic designer.
I learned a lot about art and improved a little bit every half a year.
And this is where we're back in the present.
Still learning, still discovering, still meeting nice people online.
I don't and never will regret joining Deviantart.
I've learned so much and met so many nice people.
Thank you all!
